Default presenter ribbon error in PPT

I've been getting the following error when I open PPT. Has anyone else seen this? What steps should I take to resolve it? Do I completely uninstall Articulate? Thanks!

"PowerPoint experienced a serious problem with the 'articulate presenter ribbon' add-in. f you have seen this message multiple times, you should disable this add-in and check to see if an update is available. Do you want to disable this add-in?"

I'm using PPT 2007

I have the latest version (full, not the trial). I updated about 2 weeks ago.

When I check the version, it says:
v6.0.901.713 Pro

Thanks!

In the Power Point Options Window, what type of Add-In is indicated? Mine shows it as a COM Add-In for Articulate version 5.03. The options I see are PowerPoint and COM.

This is probably an easy question, but what do you mean by "powerpoint options window"? Do I find that with PPT opened or closed? What tab is it under? I've never worked with Add-ons in detail before. Thanks for your help.

Hi!

Click the big round PowerPoint button (actually called the Office Button) in the upper left. Then click the PowerPoint Options button on the bottom. Then click Add-ins on the left.

Hey Waz, great to see ya.
I don't know if I'm on the correct path with this problem about the ribbon and add ins. As you know, I'm a MSO07 newbie myselfe. I have learned though that a lot goes on in that little round gizmo.
My assumption is that a "COM" add in is a 'common' add in from a source outside of MSO07 and that a "PowerPoint" add in is from a source within MSO07.
I haven't suggested it or tried it myself but, my inturpretation of the message is that you can remove the Add in from the ribbon without uninstalling the program. I'm not sure about how to get it back in so I didn't suggest trying it. I figured you Articulate Pro's would show up eventually with the correct answer.

I've attached a screenshot of what my PPT07 options add in shows. It looks like it is also the COM.

Should I disable the add in when I get the error message next time? Do I then reinstall? My Articulate Presenter crashes at least once a day and I'm hoping that fixing the ribbon error will stop the crashing.

I wouldn't disable anything. You could do this:

1. Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs.
2. Double click Articulate Studio '09.
3. Select Reinstall. This will attempt to repair the installation.
